How to get a work visa for Canada

Employer requires a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to induct the employee. This is a legal document that permits the employer to appoint an overseas worker. Step 1
Canadian work visa is arranged by the employer, but before this the employer get permission from the Labor Market Impact Assessment and this department after checking that there is no one available to fill this vacant position within country, then they permit the employer to hire the employee from outside the country. Work permit also issued without the permission of LMIA by the Canadian immigration officials in some cases.

Step 2
On recommendation from the LMIA, the Canadian employer grants a temporary job offer to overseas employee. The Canadian employer dispatch a copy of job offer letter and LMIA positive report copy to employee.

Step 3
The dispatched documents from the employer side the employee apply to ESDC for Canada temporary Work visa. If the Canadian employer is from province of Quebec, then the employee need a Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ) in order to work temporarily in Quebec.

Step 4
The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) agent will release Canada Temporary Work Permit at the point of entry at the time of arrival in Canada.
Canada work visa or permit demands some basic document from the employee applying from outside Canada.

1. Application form dully filled and signed by the employee.
2. Applicant format information form (IMM 5645).
3. Two passport sized color photographs.
4. Work visa processing fee receipt.
5. Applicant valid passport which has at least one blank page beside the last page.
6. A copy of the Labor Market Opinion (LMO) provided by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), if needed.
7. Valid job offer letter from the employer in Canada indicating job title, salary and job description.
8. Attested copies of all academic documents including degrees, certificate and diplomas.
